Bolta Alternative for Small Business Owners (2026)

Disclosure: boomp.net is ours, and it is one of the options on this page.

Bolta is the better choice when you want to run AI agents that draft, schedule, reply and prospect, and you have time to set them up and review their work. Boomp is the better choice when you want finished posts made from your website and you do not want another workspace to operate. The two products solve different problems. Bolta gives a founder, a creator or a team more control over a social media operation, and Boomp gives an owner less to do.

Bolta's homepage, read November 5, 2026, describes the product as an AI social media manager where "Agents draft, schedule and publish. You approve." Boomp is software that reads a business's public website, writes posts about that business with images, and publishes the ones the owner approves.

What Bolta does well

Bolta is a credible choice for a business that wants to run its own social media with AI help. Its homepage lists five agents:

  • Content Agent: creates recurring social content on a schedule you set.
  • SEO Deep Diver: writes long-form articles, blogs and newsletters.
  • Reply Agent: drafts replies to comments.
  • Prospecting Agent: finds people and conversations worth joining.
  • Performance Agent: turns your results into the next thing to post.

Choose Bolta when these statements are true:

  • You want to set goals, schedules and review rules, and then manage a queue of agent work.
  • You already publish posts, so Bolta has writing to learn your voice from.
  • You need replies drafted, or you want to find customers in conversations on Reddit, Threads, Bluesky or Mastodon.
  • You work with teammates or several brands, and you need seats, workspaces and client review.
  • You want to operate the tool from ChatGPT, an API, a command line or a browser extension.

Bolta's pricing page lists ten networks it publishes to: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and Reddit. Google Business Profile is not in that list, so confirm it with Bolta if your customers find you through Google.

Bolta pricing: count credits, accounts and brands

Bolta's pricing page, read November 5, 2026, lists these plans:

PlanMonthly priceAnnual priceListed allowance
Explorer$19$160 a year250 AI credits a month and 5 social accounts
Premium$49$412 a year650 AI credits a month, 20 social accounts, 3 invited teammates and 2 brands
Team$119$1,008 a year1,500 AI credits a month, 50 accounts per brand, 5 brands and 9 invited teammates
ManagedCustomCustomBolta's team plans, creates and publishes the content, and you approve the posts

The page says credits pay for images, video and AI runs, and that you can top up or turn on auto-reload with a monthly spending cap. That makes the real monthly cost depend on how much you generate. Every paid plan starts with a 7-day trial, and Bolta asks for payment details first, so the subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel. Bolta Managed has no listed price, and its button books a demo. Prices and allowances change, so check the current page before you buy.

The setup each one asks of you

This is the largest difference between the two products.

Bolta asks you to build the system. You add your site, your voice and your business context. Its pricing page says it builds a brand voice profile from your existing posts and business details, and refines that profile as you approve, edit or reject drafts. Then you give each agent a goal, a schedule and review rules. That work pays off for someone who wants control and already posts. An owner who has never posted may have little for the voice profile to learn from.

Boomp asks for a website and an email address. It reads the public pages, takes short samples of the owner's own sentences from them, and writes posts about that business. After that, it learns from the posts you approve, edit or skip. There are no agents to set up and no credits to count. The limit is just as plain: Boomp knows what your website says, so a thin or outdated website gives it less to work with.

Where Boomp fits and where it does not

Boomp is not a replacement for every Bolta user. If you want reply drafting, prospecting, long-form articles, team seats or an API, Bolta does those things and Boomp does not. Boomp does not reply to customers or reviews on any plan.

Boomp is relevant when the owner's real problem is that the posts do not get made. The free step shows the finished work before any decision: ten posts made from your website, with images, a carousel and a short video. You enter your website and an email, and the link arrives by email. There is no account and no card.

Paid plans differ by how much of the job you keep:

  • Packs, $9 a month: ten finished posts by email link. You publish them yourself, and nothing is connected.
  • Pro, $79 a month: 20 posts, four carousels and four short videos a month, published to your connected social profiles and Google Business Profile. You approve each post before it goes live, unless you turn on auto approval.
  • Done-for-you, $275 a month: Boomp's founder reviews every post for you and schedules it to your connected accounts.

Every paid plan charges from the first day, and no plan has a contract. Current prices are on the pricing page.

If you want someone else to run it

Both companies sell a done-for-you option, and you buy them in different ways.

Bolta's pricing page describes Bolta Managed as "We plan, create, and publish your content. You approve the posts." The price is custom, and the first step is a demo.

Boomp publishes its service prices. Social, handled is $275 a month, covers social media only, and has online checkout. Local marketing is $900 a month and adds Google Business Profile updates, a review-request process, one new or improved search page a month and inquiry tracking. Marketing partner is $1,800 a month and adds a second search page, a customer email, an offer page and a monthly planning call. The two larger plans start with a 15-minute call, and the work is agreed before you pay. No Boomp plan includes ads, replies to customers or reviews, photo shoots or full website rebuilds. The done-for-you page has the full scope.

How to choose a tool like this

Use one real week as the test, and do not decide from a feature list.

  1. Write down the job that keeps failing. It is usually one of four: deciding what to post, making the post, publishing it, or answering people.
  2. Count the setup. Ask what you must supply before the first good post appears, and how long that takes you.
  3. Judge a finished post. Check that it says something true and specific about your business, and not something any business could post.
  4. Count the review time for a normal week, including your edits.
  5. Add the full cost: the plan, any extra credits or channels, and the hours you spend.
  6. Check the networks you use, including Google Business Profile if local search brings you customers.

What stays with you

Neither tool removes the owner's judgment. You still decide whether a price, a service, an opening hour or a result is still true. You still need permission before a customer's photo, name or story appears in a post. Licensed and regulated businesses still own their claims, including fair housing wording, medical and legal statements, and financial promises. If your business makes those claims, keep automatic publishing off in either tool and read each post before it goes out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good Bolta alternative for a small business?

Choose by who will run the tool. Bolta gives you AI agents to set up, direct and review, and it fits founders, creators and teams who want that control. Boomp is software that reads your public website and makes finished posts for you to approve. It can fit an owner who does not want to operate a social media workspace. Test both on one real week of posts before you pay for a year.

How much does Bolta cost?

On November 5, 2026, Bolta's pricing page listed Explorer at $19 a month, Premium at $49 a month and Team at $119 a month. Annual billing was listed at $160, $412 and $1,008 a year. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, and Bolta sells top-ups. Bolta Managed, where Bolta's team runs the work, was listed at a custom price after a demo. Check the current page before you buy.

Does Bolta have a free trial?

Bolta's pricing page, read November 5, 2026, says every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial and that you enter payment details first, so the subscription starts when the trial ends unless you cancel. Boomp works differently. You enter your website and an email, and a link to ten finished posts arrives by email, with no account or card. Boomp's paid plans charge from the first day.

Does Bolta publish to Google Business Profile?

Bolta's pricing page, read November 5, 2026, lists LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and Reddit. Google Business Profile is not in that list, so ask Bolta before you rely on it. Boomp's Pro plan publishes approved posts to connected social profiles and to Google Business Profile. That difference matters most to a business with a local Google listing.

Does Bolta or Boomp post without my approval?

Both keep you in the approval step unless you change a setting. Bolta's pricing page says nothing publishes until you approve it, and that autopublish is an opt-in. On Boomp's Core plan and above, you approve each post before it goes live, unless you turn on auto approval. Boomp's Packs plan connects no accounts, so you publish those posts yourself. If your business makes regulated or sensitive claims, keep automatic publishing off in either tool.

Does Boomp reply to comments or find leads like Bolta's agents?

No. Bolta lists a Reply Agent that drafts replies to comments and a Prospecting Agent that finds conversations to join, and its Premium plan lists customer finding on Reddit, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon. Boomp does not reply to customers or reviews on any plan, and it does not prospect. Boomp writes posts from your website, makes the images, and publishes the posts you approve. If replies and prospecting are the work you need done, Bolta is the closer fit.
