Free. A few runs a day for each email.

How do you write a good YouTube description?

Start with a plain sentence that says what the video is about, in the words people would search for. YouTube shows the first few lines first, so put the main point there. Then add a short summary of what the video covers. For a longer video, add chapters: the first starts at 00:00, there are at least three, and each runs at least ten seconds. End with up to three hashtags that match the video, since up to three can appear by your title.

What it will not do

  • It does not invent facts. It writes only from what you paste.

  • It adds chapters only when your transcript has timestamps.

  • It does not add your links. Add your own before you publish.

  • It does not post for you. You copy the description and paste it into YouTube.

Questions

How long can a YouTube description be?

Up to 5,000 characters. Most need far less. The first few lines matter most, because viewers see them first.

How do I get chapters?

Paste a transcript with timestamps. We pick chapter starts from your own timestamps. YouTube needs the first chapter at 00:00, at least three chapters in order, and each chapter at least ten seconds long.

Can I use it without a transcript?

Yes. Describe the video in a few sentences. You get a shorter description and no chapters. A transcript gives us more to write from.

How many hashtags should I use?

Up to three can show by your title. YouTube ignores every hashtag on a video that has more than 60, and hashtags that do not match the video can get it removed. We add up to three that match.

Do you keep what I paste?

No. We do not keep your transcript or your description. We save your email to send you tips from boomp.net. You do not need an account.

Is it free?

Yes. Enter your email to get your description. No account or card.
